Sunday 29th of January we had the fourth round of the Danish Championship, on the tight high grip track in Tølløse, 50 km from Copenhagen. 45 drivers attended the race, with practice saturday, and race sunday. The track is quite technical, but with high grip, so You can easily overdrive the car, with hard impacts to follow. All the top guys choose to drive with spool on this track, and thanks to Xray it’s so easy for us just to insert a split in the multi diff.

First qualifying Martin Lissau was the fastest guy with his Xray T2, followed by me, and Michael Priest, only T2 cars in top 3. Steen Graversen made a mistake, and had to retire from round 1.
Next round Steen made it to the finish line, but Martin improved his qualifying time, and kept the first place with 1 second gap. I was on a really good pace, but 1 minute before finish, my right front damper got loose, so I had to retire. My time was still good enough for third, but Troels Troelsen came really close on fourth.
Third and last qualifying round was going to be a hard fight for positions. Unfortunately I made a mistake on first lap, costing me 4 seconds, but I still improved my overall time. – Not enough though, since Michael qualified 3rd just 0,2 sec ahead of me. Steen also improved, and took the TQ spot ahead of Martin.

Qualifying result:
1 Steen Graversen
2 Martin Lissau Xray T2
3 Michael Priest Xray T2
4 Søren Boy Holst Xray T2

5 Troels Troelsen
6 Jimmy Bigum
7 Allan Rasmussen Xray T2
8 Caspar Morgen

I was not satisfied with my starting position. The track is technical and very hard to pass on, so every position You can get in qualifying is very important. – But still a good result for Xray.

My car was ok, but had to less steering, so before the finals I made some changes to the car, and thanks to the new Xray Multi-flex Technology my car was much better and faster after this.

The start of the first final was very bad. Martin made a mistake, and Michael crashed into him. I was careful and passed the two cars, but at the next corner I got hit from behind by the next car, and ended last as nr. 8. For the rest of the final I had to push the car 110 percent, and could end on third place, after Steen and Martin.
Second final was a little better. Steen was in front from start to finish, followed by Martin and me.
Michael made a mistake and ended in fifth place, just after Troels. With two first places, Steen could take the overall win.

Third final was very exciting. The start was good and clean, and I was just behind Martin and Michael. All through the final I was 2 meters behind Michael, trying to pass him. I tried on the inside, and outside, but had to brake and be careful, and in front Steen was making a gap from the rest of us. On the last lap I got to close and hit the rear end of Michael, and had to wait, and finally on the third last corner, I got on the outside of Michael, and could take the third place, and also third place overall. – Very exciting race!
